The Safety Risk Audits conducted by Royal Life Saving on behalf of the Local Government Insurance Scheme continue to provide Local Government Aquatic Facilities with a very sound indicator of their compliance against both regulatory and best practice guidelines. The Benchmark scores have risen steadily over past 5 years in both metropolitan and rural aquatic facilities due to RLSS ability to provide consistent information and advice on how to improve in the areas that may fall below best practice. Some facilities however are now at a stage where little improvement could be demonstrated against the current audit tool. This is indicative of the facilities that use the Audit Tool for their own internal compliance and performance indicators. Other facilities score very well across most sections of the audit but may perform poorly in one area that drastically affects the overall weighting of the audit. Attached are the results of the data as collated by Royal Life. {
