Beatty Park Leisure Centre is one of the Town of Vincent's greatest and most recognisable assets. The Centre has been a leader in recreation facilities in this State since its creation in 1962 for the British Empire and Commonwealth Games and it's refurbishment to a Leisure Facility in 1994 only enhanced this.

The Centre is now at a stage where the needs and expectations of users have changed and the plant and equipment are due for replacement. By redeveloping the Centre, the Town hopes to create a state-of-the-art, modern and competitive leisure centre that will act as a magnet for a diverse range of recreation activities that will complement the sustainability objectives of the Town of Vincent.

At present the Centre is a popular aquatic and fitness facility; the redevelopment would ensure the long-term viability of the Centre and meet the current and future needs of patrons by incorporating best practice and innovation.

To achieve this, redevelopment concept plans were drafted by Peter Hunt Architects and presented to the Council for approval. Details of the proposed plans (including visuals) can be found at www.beattypark.com.au
