Aquatic Facilities from across the state were the major beneficiaries from the latest round of the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF). The first LIWA Aquatics accredited professional development session for 2010 will take place on the 21st and 22nd of May at the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre. The decision by the Board to return to Broome this year was based on the availability of accommodation and the fact that its centralised location on a main air and road networks provided the greatest opportunity for delegates to attend. New Mascot for Watch Around Water
The Watch Around Water program has a new mascot “Walter the Watchdog”! Walter will be out and about at our local pools in the coming months to focus attention on the importance of continuous parental supervision as we move into the winter months. Read More

The second edition of the Aquatic Recreation Australia Journal will be in the mail to aquatic managers across Australia this week. The second journal has much more national content with contributions from Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. Read More
Great Publicity for Aquamotion
The City of Wannneroo's Lifeguard Team who competed at the recent Pool Lifeguard Challenge were recognised in the Wanneroo Community Times for coming second in the event. Read More
Armadale Residents Looking for Year Round Swimming
The local Swimming and Masters clubs in the south east corridor of Perth are pushing hard for the opportunity to swim year round in the Armadale area. Read More
New Pool for Fitzroy Crossing
The North West Community of Fitzroy Crossing will soon awake to the splashing of children in its brand new aquatic facility. The pool has been built in the recreation precinct adjacent the oval, community sports hall and the school. Located on Fallon Road it will be a wonderful adjunct to the other recreation facilities in the area and provide health and fitness benefits to the community for many years to come. Read More
