 The results of the first stage of LIWA Aquatics engagement and trial data logging of 13 aquatic facilities with the Water Corporation have now been completed.  As you read the report you will find the results very interesting as it provides a snapshot of the water use and in some cases the very inefficient use of water in aquatic industry across Western Australia. 

As some people may know, Colin Hassell and Steve Good have been having their own State of Origin Battle going on with the Annual State Conference Crazy Tie Competition.  Every year for the past 4 years they have been battling it out to see who comes to the Annual Conference Dinner with the most out there, unusual or just plain horrible tie, with Colin taking the title last year.

It's that time of year again when the annual conference is just around the corner and memberships are due. Most Memberships expire on 31st August 2010.  Accredited members must be aware that unless you paid for three years accreditation you must maintain your membership each year.  LIWA Aquatics has provided this service as a member benefit and has tried to limit the financial impact on its members but allowing a yearly payment. 

Please do the right thing and pay your membership promptly when you receive your annual subscription. If you need to check you expiry date, login to your user account and check when your membership expires.

The 3^rd Edition of Aquatic Recreation Australia was mailed to over 3000 individuals and workplaces last week and the feedback has again been very positive.  It was great to see the pools that featured in this edition and the Board of LIWA Aquatics hopes readers enjoyed the variety of articles and information.
