Do I have to send off a Pathwest Water Sample prior to startup if I have maintained my water quality throughout winter?

No, 

If you have maintained water quality and clarity during the off season and have had regular monthly testing done by your EHO then a Pathwest test is not required prior to startup and opening.

 5.5 of the Code states; that 'you must, as an operator, ensure water clarity is maintained to prevent algae growth'.

  • 'The facility shall receive sufficient maintenance to ensure they do not give off objectionable odours, become a breading ground for insects, or create any other nuisance or safety hazard'.
  • 'Maintenance of other water parameters is not required during the off season', but, in this instance, a Path West start up test must be done.
