As we approach Conference time it is also a time for members to pay there annual subscriptions that are associated with membership and accreditation. LIWA Aquatics continues to support the industry through its contributions to Watch Around Water, your industry journal Aquatic Recreation Australia and of course our regional seminars. These projects can only be sustained through membership and accreditations fees, and they are now due! As of today we have issued over 415 Accreditations to industry personnel with most taking the opportunity to pay the accreditation on a yearly basis linked to their membership. With the accreditations being issued for a three year period it is incumbent on each accredited member to maintain their membership on a yearly basis. The Board of LIWA Aquatics determined this approach was appropriate so no individual was financially disadvantaged by paying three years up front for accreditation. There has already been a very small number of instances were individuals were issued with accreditation and have not maintained there membership and are still working in the industry. The issue for these people will be that when they need to accredit again they will not be eligible until they pay the amount in arrears and will then only have the option of paying for three years in advance. Don't let that be you! Memberships in the main are due at the 31 August, 2011 and if you don't pay at the conference renewals will be sent in early September. Many accreditations have been paid by employers and in most cases it will that will be the case again but the renewals will be sent to you as the individual and the onus is on you to see that they are renewed. If you are not sure when you expire you can check your account at the LIWA Aquatics website www.liwaaquatics.net.au log in and check your membership details. Please support LIWA Aquatics and the work is does for the industry and maintain your membership and accreditation. Pay ealry and avoid the increase in this years membership fee's.
