Ten years of a very successful partnership between RLSSWA, Central TAFE and LIWA Aquatics for the delivery of Pool Operations has finally come to an end. With the loss of profile funding through the TAFE system to deliver the Pool Operations Training Course LIWA Aquatics will now liaise directly with RLSSWA to market and deliver the course for industry.

The outcomes and delivery methodology will be exactly the same with the only changes relating to enrolment process and the issuing of the Statement of Attainment by Royal Life Saving. This will streamline the process which has been an area that often caused confusion for students and employers. It will also allow RLSSWA to be more reactive and provide additional training courses if required during the course of the year. This was always problematic with the limited number of places provided when Central TAFE undertook the enrolment and issuance of qualifications.

The Board of LIWA Aquatics has been kept fully informed on the process and has great faith in RLSSWA to continue to service the needs of the industry in the delivery of Pool Operations Training. Included in the course fees paid to Royal Life Saving will be 12 months membership/accreditation to LIWA Aquatics which the candidate can access as soon as they have successfully completed the on-the-job component of the training program.
