The recent news of 2 near drowning incidents send a chilling reminder of just how quickly a child can slip away from parental supervision in the aquatic environment. The attached articles are once again disturbing reminders of how a fun day at our local pool can end in tragedy. The Lifeguards in question should be congratulated in their response to the emergency and the parents/guardians should be asking themselves how a 7 and 4 year old children where not within their arms reach at all times.
