The new Australian Standard 2927:2019, "The storage and handling of liquefied chlorine gas" is out for public comment and will effect a large quantity of aquatic facilities in Western Australia.  The draft is open for public comment until 17th April 2019.

LIWA Aquatics wishes to compile feedback from its members to issue comment on the Aquatic Industries behalf.  If you wish to make comment as an indivual you are welcome to do so and will provide links below.

 

LIWA Aquatics has been in consultation with IXOM and we feel the changes to the new standard are reasonable and will not affect WA in any major way as aquatic facilities are already audtited regularly.  Please note that this draft covers on all aspect of Chlorine Gas and is only appropriate to Aquatic Facilities in certain areas of the standard as other areas could be more related to Waste Water Treatment plants and similar facilities.
