South Hedland Aquatic Centre

The Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries, Leisure Institute of Western Australia Aquatics, Royal Life Saving Society WA and the Town of Port Hedland would like to invite aquatic managers and shire staff across the North West to attend the 23rd Annual North West Pool Managers Aquatics Seminar.

The event will highlight issues relevant to aquatic centres in the region. It also provides a great opportunity to share the knowledge and information that exists throughout the regions and the aquatic industry.

LIWA Aquatics with its industry partners, Royal Life Saving and the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries are aware of the critical need to provide professional development opportunities in regional areas. It is important that both local and global issues are discussed, and networks are developed and maintained.

As managers we need to ensure that our aquatic facilities remain the focal point of our community. It is very hard to achieve this in isolation – we must work together and maintain the Network.

As part of Royalities for Regions, this is the final year that LIWA Aquatics is able to provide funding for the Pool Lifeguard Requalification Course and SCBA Refresher so don't miss out.

This seminar and additional Professional development sessions can be used to go towards maintaining your Pool Operations accreditation.

Seminar Fees start at $160 which include the Seminar, Morning, Lunch and Afternoon Tea and Dinner.

There is a range of accomodation options in both Port Hedland and South Hedland.

The Seminar will be held at theWanangkura Stadium in South Hedland with site tour fo the South Hedland Aquatic Centre.

Dinner will be held at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Port Hedland.
